(Macau, 28 July 2009) – The Chamber of Macau Casino Gaming Concessionaires and Sub-concessionaires was officially formed today at a signing ceremony held at the Grand Lisboa Hotel, Macau.

Advocated by Dr. Stanley Ho, Managing Director of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A., the Chamber is formed by all of the six concessionaires and sub-concessionaires in Macau.   Dr. Ho is the President of the Chamber.

According to the statutes of the Chamber, all legal entities holding a Macau gaming concession or sub-concession for the operation of games of fortune or chance, or other casino games granted by the government of the Macau SAR, are eligible to join the Chamber as Associates.

The objectives of the Chamber are to provide a platform for discussions of issues that are of common interest to its Associates; to cooperate and work closely with the Macau Government to contribute to the gaming legislative process and to the implementation of rules and regulations; and to promote and enhance the healthy growth and development of the gaming market in Macau for the betterment of the gaming industry and the community as a whole.

Commenting on the formation of the Chamber, and on behalf of its members, Dr. Stanley Ho, President of the Chamber, said, “We are very excited and delighted about the birth of the Chamber – a significant milestone in Macau gaming.   The Chamber will provide a useful platform for promoting the benefits of constructive competition for the gaming industry and for all of Macau.”
