Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (“SJM”) was invited to orchestrate a performance at the World Tourism Day Dinner hosted by Macau Government Tourism Office on 27 September 2019 at Grand Lisboa. The Dinner was attended by Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macau SAR Government Dr. Alexis Tam Chon Weng, Director of the Macau Government Tourism Office Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, as well as representatives from the tourism and leisure industries.

A skillful blend of traditional Chinese art – wushu, dance and face-changing, the performance by SJM “Kungfu, Dancing & Face-changing” also recapped a series of major tourism events supported by SJM over the years. To commemorate the 20^th anniversary of the return of Macau to China, the show comprised a total of twenty performers who were all SJM staff members.

Celebrating the theme of “Tourism and Jobs: A Better Future for All”, the World Tourism Day 2019 had a focus on the true potential of tourism as a creator of jobs. SJM will continue to be actively engaged in ensuring the sustainable future of Macau’s tourism industry, while providing citizens with more development and job opportunities during Macau’s transformation into a world centre of tourism and leisure that amazes visitors from all over the world.
