(Macau, 22 November 2009) – FIA WTCC - Guia Race of Macau presented by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A ( "SJM" ) hosted its final rounds on 22 November with the winner to be crowned the champion of tin-top racing. 2009 marks the 8th consecutive year of SJM's sponsorship of this spectacular event, which has attracted a world of attention.

The title was decided by two nine-lap races on Sunday and with just a 15-minute break between the two, the drivers and teams faced their toughest challenge of the season yet on one of the most unique and challenging race tracks in the world. Directors of SJM, Dr. Ambrose So, Ms. Angela Leong and Mr. Louis Ng presented the trophies to the winners with their wholehearted congratulations. The winners for the first round were Robert Huff of Great Britain (Champion), Gabriele Tarquini of Italy (1st runner-up) and Jordi Gene of Spain (2nd runner-up), and the second round winners included Augusto Farfus of Brazil (Champion), Jorg Muller of Germany (1st runner-up) and Yvan Muller of France (2nd runner-up).

Dr. Ambrose So stated with excitement: "We appreciate the great skills, team spirit and sportsmanship of the contestants, and the fact that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau Special Administrative Region has made this world renowned event doubly significant."
