(Macau, 16 November 2008) – Presented by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. ("SJM"), "FIA World Touring Car Championship - Guia Race of Macau" held its final round in Macau on 16th November 2008.  SJM has been the exclusive sponsor of the Macau Guia Race for seven years consecutively since 2002.

Macau has been the final stop of the FIA WTCC since 2006, adding more prestige and excitement to the Macau Guia Race.  Six of the biggest names in car racing fought it out for this world renowned FIA World Touring Car Championship at the Macau Grand Prix. 
 
Dr. Ambrose So, Ms. Angela Leong and Dr. Rui Cunha, Directors of SJM, were there to show their support and present trophies to the winners. 

After the two action packed 9-lap races, the first round was won by Alain Menu from Switzerland, while second and third went to Andy Priaulx from Britain and Yvan Muller from France.  The second round was won by Robert Huff from Britain, while second and third went to Yvan Muller from France and Andy Priaulx from Britain. 

Dr. Ambrose So, said, "Many congratulations to the winners.  Our appreciation also goes to all contestants for their devotion to the Race."  He continued, "The Macau Grand Prix is a well established event in Macau with a long history.  It has become a major event on the international sports calendar, attracting lots of tourists to Macau every year.  SJM is a regular sponsor of this important event.  As the only gaming concessionaire rooted in Macau, through the promotion of sports, we aim at bringing more exciting elements to the gaming and tourism industry for the benefit of the whole community."
