7 July 2025 –The Excellence Staff Center of SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) provides full support to the Macau Special Olympics (“MSO”) Internship Programme, which is dedicated to creating employment opportunities for individuals with special needs and enhancing their confidence and professional skills. The “Train First, Intern Later” programme recently concluded from April to July at the Hong On store of the Excellence Staff Center. The internship included tasks such as product explanations, merchandise display, inventory management, and store cleaning.

Before the programme began, MSO provided professional training for the staff at the Excellence Staff Center, covering communication skills and the characteristics of individuals with special needs. This training prepared the staff to provide effective guidance during the internship. After 14 weeks of training and the internship, and with the patient support of the staff at the Excellence Staff Center, MSO participants successfully mastered the fundamentals of supermarket operations, laying a solid foundation for future employment.

Through the internship programme, SJM aimed to promote the concept of a harmonised society to fulfill corporate social responsibilities, enabling participants enhancing their practical work skills and building strong interpersonal relationships. The experience allowed them to gain real workplace exposure, eliminate potential barriers and foster a friendly work environment.
