SJM promotes building a disability inclusive society
SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee joined hands with SJM Excellence Staff Center in organising a carnival at Macau Special Olympics (“MSO”) for its members and family from 26 to 27 December 2020. The event aimed to promote the message of social integration and share love and warmth with the community. The carnival offered game booths, voluntary haircut service, and charity sales.
Ms. Angela Leong, Managing Director of SJM and Chairman of the Staff Welfare Consultative Committee of SJM, hoped that SJM staff members, through sharing happy moments with MSO members at the event, could get to understand more about the needs of the less-advantaged groups. Meanwhile, MSO members could also affirm their self-values and improve their self-confidence for better integration with society.
The two-day carnival recorded an attendance of over 1,000 members and parents from MSO, having fun together in joy and laughter. Proceeds received from the charity bazaar of SJM Excellence Staff Center and other vendors on site were donated to MSO for charitable purpose.
