Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (“SJM”) is committed to nurturing talents, and has established the SJM Scholarship programme for students in Macau and children of its staff. In 2019 the scheme was extended to the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT), with ten students selected annually, each to receive a scholarship of MOP10,000. The scholarship aims to provide students with more practical learning experience which could benefit their future career by cultivating their global vision via cross cultural exposure.

The IFT Scholarship and Fellowship Presentation Ceremony 2019 was held on 25 September 2019, during which SJM awarded scholarships to ten IFT students studying Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, Tourism Retail Management and Tourism Event Management. Rachel Chan, Senior Vice President of Human Resources of SJM, presented the scholarships on behalf of the company.
