Both Grand Lisboa Macau and Ponte 16 Resort, Macau held countdown activities on 31 December 2018, welcoming the new year with local residents and tourists with singing and dancing performances by pop singers and artistes.

The Grand Lisboa countdown party is one of the major events in Macau on New Year’s Eve. To welcome 2019, a special countdown animation was projected on the Grand Lisboa’s “Starsphere”. The impressive light show could be seen even far from Taipa Island. As the only venue in the historic Inner Harbour district where a big-scale countdown show is held, Ponte 16 attracts a vast number of citizens and visitors every year.
