In support of the environmental policies of the Macau SAR Government and the objective of turning Macau into a green city, Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (“SJM”) will introduce its new energy shuttle bus service starting from May 2018, with the number of new energy buses to be increased by phases. It demonstrates the support of SJM to the Secretariat for Transport and Public Works and the Transport Bureau of Macau SAR Government in achieving the target of gradually replacing the entire shuttle bus fleet of casino operators by new energy buses for the improvement of street-level air quality in Macau.

To alleviate road traffic and promote environmental protection, SJM will run its new energy shuttle bus service with electric buses and compressed natural gas (CNG) buses, some of which have provisions for standing passengers for the benefit of extra capacity. SJM will pay close attention to the operation of this new shuttle bus service and review its effects in close coordination with the Macau authorities. SJM believes that the above measures will optimize Macau’s transportation, and enhance the overall environment for residents and visitors, while supporting Macau’s development into a world-class green tourism city.
