3 June 2023 - SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) encourages its employees and their children to understand the motherland’s development and strengthen their patriotism and national pride. In conjunction with the “Stars Dream Chasing - Thematic Exhibition on Scientist Spirit” hosted by Macau Science Center, SJM organised a visit for a group of volunteer team members and their children on 3 June 2023 to deepen their understanding of China's great scientists and technological advancements. The aim is to inspire the younger generation to take the lead in the future progress of science and technology and jointly realise the “Chinese Dream”.

The “Stars Dream Chasing - Thematic Exhibition on Scientist Spirit” is running from 30 April 2023 to 2 July 2023. Through the presentation of precious photos, images, manuscripts, specimens, and interactive multimedia exhibits, both parents and children acquired in-depth knowledge about the significant contributions made by scientific teams in safeguarding national security, constructing modern defense systems, ensuring energy and food supplies, and promoting the physical and mental well-being of the people. The exhibition highlights the stories and renowned quotes of various Chinese scientists, including Qian Xuesen, known as the “Father of Chinese Rocketry and Spaceflight”, Yuan Longping, recognised as the “Father of Hybrid Rice”, and Tu Youyou, the first Chinese scientist to receive the Nobel Prize in Medicine. Moreover, the exhibition showcases China's aerospace technology and major infrastructure projects, such as the “Two Bombs and One Satellite”, China's aerospace team, the “FAST” 500-metre spherical radio telescope, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, and the “Hualong One”. Additionally, a dedicated zone has been established at the venue to highlight Macau scientists and their related accomplishments. Employees who attended the event expressed their appreciation for the exhibition's rich and educational content, and they felt a deep sense of pride in the nation's technological advancements.

Rooted in Macau for over six decades, SJM has remained dedicated to promoting patriotism and Chinese traditional culture. Alongside regular patriotic education activities, such as “sharing sessions on the spirit of the Two Sessions” and “Tell China's Stories workshops”, SJM actively engages in various events pertaining to the nation's current affairs. These endeavors serve to consistently strengthen the employees' sentiment of “Love China, Love Macau” and ensure the transmission of the spirit of patriotism from one generation to the next.
