5 May 2023 - As part of its on-going efforts to cultivate sports talents for Macau, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) set up the “SJM Sports Teams Development Scholarship” programme to foster the growth and development of sports teams at the University of Macau (“UM”). Two scholarships, in the amount of MOP25,000 each, were awarded to the Tennis Team and the Martial Arts Team of the University of Macau, respectively. The award ceremony was held on 5 May 2023 in U Hall (N2) of UM. Mr. Daniel Shim, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of SJM, presented the awards on behalf of the company to the team members. 

Ms. Daisy Ho, Managing Director of SJM, said, “SJM has a long tradition of offering scholarship funds to students at UM. We are delighted to kick-off this new scholarship programme, extending our support to the University’s Tennis Team and Martial Arts Team. Our goals are to nurture young talents and arouse a strong local interest in sport, jointly promoting the Macau SAR Government’s initiative of ‘Sports for All’. Meanwhile, SJM also introduces major sporting events to Macau, dedicated to elevating its profile as an energetic sports city while boosting international arrivals.”
