5 June 2023 - SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) is pleased to announce its support for the “2023 World Environment Day”, organised by the Macao Environmental Protection Bureau (“DSPA”) Macau SAR Government, through a series of energy-saving programmes such as “Lights Off for One Hour”, “Casual Summer Wear – Let’s Conserve Energy”, and “Non-essential Lights off at Lunch”. The company, along with its entire staff, is dedicated to conserving energy and reducing emissions, elevating awareness among the community, and promoting green living.

On 5 June 2023 at 8:30 p.m., all SJM hotels and entertainment facilities enthusiastically took part in “Lights Off for One Hour”. During this time, non-essential interior lights, facade decorations and outdoor LED screens, were switched off for one hour. Hotel guests were invited to participate by turning off lights during their stay, while SJM employees were encouraged to do the same at home.

Furthermore, SJM will actively take part in the “Casual Summer Wear – Let's Conserve Energy” event, scheduled from 7 June to 31 August 2023. This event aims to promote a culture of dressing down and conserving energy. In addition, SJM is committed to maintaining office air conditioners at temperatures not below 25°C.
