14 December 2024 – Rooted in Macau and committed to the motherland, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) is dedicated to fostering a harmonious and blessed society by collaborating closely with the community. In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR, SJM organised a series of community art and cultural activities in December. These included SJM x Macau Cruise, themed workshops celebrating Macau’s return to its motherland, and a visit to the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao. Participants included children, youth, the elderly, and individuals with special needs, as community groups from diverse backgrounds came together to celebrate these significant anniversaries and promote the message of an inclusive community.

SJM organised SJM x Macau Cruise for 33 elderly participants from the Centro de Dia "Chong Pak Chi Ka” of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions on 13 December. The participants embarked on the cruise and enjoyed the scenic views along A-Ma Temple to Coloane, followed by a tour of GLP Arte, where they attended a themed art workshop designed and led by the Fuhong Society of Macau to create art pieces inspired by the lotus which symbolised Macau. On 14 December, over eighty people, including members and their families from the Richmond Fellowship of Macau, the Macau Down Syndrome Association, the Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau, and the Macau Deaf Association, came together to participate in the lotus-themed art workshop by Fuhong Society of Macau. Guided by SJM team members, participants also visited the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao, taking photos at Lotus Square to celebrate Macau’s return to its motherland.  Additionally, some participants toured the “Martial Art Arena” at Grand Lisboa Palace, where they experienced the charm of Chinese martial arts through a state-of-the-art technological lens.

SJM was delighted to share the joy of celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR with all participants. These events aimed to foster patriotism and uphold Macau's spirit of harmony and teamwork.
