
SJM Wins Five Awards at the Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System Gold Pin Competition
6 December 2024 – SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) has consistently prioritised staff training and development, striving to cultivate skilled tourism professionals in Macau and the Greater Bay Area. This year, SJM continued its support for the Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System (MORS) Gold Pin Competition, sending multiple team members who secured five top awards, making it one of the most awarded integrated resorts. Additionally, SJM served as a supporting unit for the competition, providing venue sponsorship and technical support for both the competition and the award ceremony.
The MORS 2024 Gold Pin Competition award presentation ceremony was successfully held today at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. SJM sent 66 team members to participate in 10 categories of the competition, with representatives from the food and beverage, front desk, housekeeping, and security departments. Sixteen team members reached the finals, including those who achieved the esteemed Gold Pin award. Among the winners were Vivian Zhong in the Waiter/Waitress (Chinese Restaurant Service) category, Kenneth Yeung in the Chinese Chef (Cantonese Cuisine) category, Alexis Li in the Front Desk Agent / Customer Relations Officers category, Lily Huang in the Room Attendant category, and Lam Veng Iam in the Security Officer for Tourism and Gaming Industry category.

Kenneth Yeung, the winner of the Chinese Chef (Cantonese Cuisine) category, shared his thoughts: “I would like to express my gratitude to the company for its ongoing support and encouragement, which have provided me with the resources and time to experiment with new menus. This competition has broadened my horizons and strengthened my passion for cooking and my commitment to promoting Cantonese Cuisine. In the future, I will continue to enhance my culinary skills and improve my menu and service to ensure greater customer satisfaction, further establishing Macau as a Creative City of Gastronomy.”
