2 July 2024 – SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) encourages volunteer activities, and fully supports the administrative policies of the Macau SAR Government. With the support of the Social Welfare Bureau of Macau and organised by the Staff Welfare Consultative Committee (“SWCC”), the “SJM Community Emergency Volunteers” forum was held successfully on 2 July with an inspiring turnout of SJM team members.

The two forums for emergency volunteers were held by SWCC on 1 and 2 July at the assembly hall of the staff club. These were to inform colleagues about the goals and scope of the programme and to motivate them to commit. The forum highlighted the cross-departmental collaboration in SAR government, cross-districts support, kickoff process, working scope and distribution of emergency shelters.

In response to the Macao SAR Government’s request, SJM held Emergency Volunteer forums since 2020 to provide volunteers with essential training. This was to help the community recover from future natural disasters, provide emergency response services, repaying the community through practical efforts to prevent injury and mitigate loss.
