
SJM Talents Excel at Annual Vocational Skills Competition
28 June 2024 – The “6th Macao Integrated Tourism and Leisure Enterprises Vocational Skills Competition 2024” was successfully held at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau from 27 to 28 June. Co-organised by the Labour Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the Macao Federation of Trade Unions, with venue and technical support from Grand Lisboa Palace, this event is an annual cornerstone event where local hospitality industry professionals engage in professional exchange with peers through competitions. SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) fielded a team of 26 top talents to compete in three categories and secured a total of eight awards in the event.

During the competitions, the SJM team showcased superior skills, exceptional talent and incredible teamwork, bearing testament to SJM’s ongoing commitment to supporting industry talent developments. The team secured top honours in the “Gaming and Entertainment Professional Skills Competition,” clinching Special Gold Award for the category of Customer Service. In the “Hotel Comprehensive Services Professional Skills Competition”, they clinched Special Gold Award and Best Occupational Health and Safety Awareness Award in the category of Facility Maintenance; and Special Gold Award and Occupational Health and Safety Awareness Award in the category of Room Cleanup. During the “Gastronomy Professional Skills Competition,’ SJM excelled by taking Gold Award in the category of Chinese Delicacies and Western Culinary Services respectively, and also won the Best Dish with Designated Main Ingredient in the category of Chinese Delicacies with their exquisite dish, Pan-seared Chicken with Green Romanesco Flower Sauce.
