28 March 2024 – As a local enterprise rooted in Macau, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) has always encouraged its staff and their children to learn about our nation’s development, promote their sense of identity and encourage them to love the motherland and Macau. The Staff Welfare Consultative Committee (“SWCC”) of SJM organised a series of staff visits to the Greater Bay Area again this year to an overwhelming response. The first tour was successfully held on 27-28 March with 44 participants.

The trip brought the team to Zhaoqing City to understand the nation’s development, where they visited places such as the former site of the Peasants’ Association, Shapu Monument Square of Revolutionary Martyrs, Dinghu Red Culture Lecture Hall of the New Era, Tianhu Egret Ecological Resort and Guangdong Pute Agricultural Development Company to learn about the red culture and ecological preservation in Shapu. The team learned about the nation’s history, and gained an appreciation of how cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are growing. This fosters their sense of belonging and mission towards the nation, Macau and the company, and strengthen the patriotic spirit to help develop the nation and Macau.
