14 May 2024 – Amidst the scenic backdrop of Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre, SJM Resorts, S.A. held a launch ceremony for its dragon boat team on 14 May, setting the stage for the “2024 SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races,” title-sponsored and organised by SJM in collaboration with the Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government and the Dragon Boat Association of Macao, China. It serves as a celebration of athleticism and a tribute to traditional Chinese culture. In a show of commitment and enthusiasm, SJM will be fielding seven robust teams to compete in this revered annual event.

At the launching ceremony, the SJM Board of Directors and management team came together to bestow their blessings upon the dragon boat team. Ms. Daisy Ho, Managing Director of SJM, commented following the eye-dotting ceremony, “Dragon boat racing, deeply rooted in traditional Chinese customs, has evolved into a sport celebrated worldwide. SJM is proud to lead the charge in both organising and enhancing this annual event. We are excited to continue as the title sponsor, thereby cementing its reputation as Macau’s premier sporting event. The “2024 SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races” will take place on 8, 9, and 10 June, 2024, at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre. SJM will field seven dragon boat teams, including the SJM Golden Jubilee (Large), SJM Golden Jubilee A (Small), SJM Golden Jubilee B (Small), SJM Prosperity (Small) in the men’s category, and the SJM Lotus Grand Dragon (Large), SJM Lotus A (Small), SJM Lotus B (Small) in the women’s category, to take part in the races.
