18 April 2024 – Jointly organised by SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) and the Macau Federation of Trade Unions Workers’ Medical Clinics, the event titled “Know more about Women’s Health” was successfully held on 17 and 18 April at the back-of-house area of Grand Lisboa Palace.

Members of the Workers’ Medical Clinics set up health booths at Grand Lisboa Palace to answer inquiries,and to help schedule appointments for screenings and HPV vaccinations. Flexible appointment schedules were also arranged for female workers who work on shifts. These initiatives aimed to enhance women’s knowledge to cervical cancer, increase the coverage of cervical cells checks, and boost the vaccination rate in Macau. The 2-day event received an overwhelming response from the team members.

Through the “Know more about Women’s Health” event, SJM aimed to cultivate a proper understanding of cervical cancer and Pap smears, and the significance of HPV vaccinations among female team members. The event was designed to promote health awareness among working women and foster a harmonious and healthy society.
