8 May 2024 – SJM Resorts, S.A. is committed to enhancing the physical and mental well-being of its team members by encouraging active participation in various sports and enriching their leisure time. Following the successful completion of SJM Basketball and Football Friendly Invitational Matches in April, SJM held the awards ceremony at the Jai Alai Buffet on 8 May, inviting more than 200 athletes and guests gathered for an evening of celebration and recognition, amongst whom are Ms. Angela Leong, Director and Chairman of the Staff Welfare Consultative Committee of SJM; Mr. Marco Ieong, Senior Vice President of Table and Slot Operations of SJM; Mr Lam Kam Hung, Director of Sports Committee of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions; and Mr. Michael Cheong, Executive Vice President of Macau-China Basketball Association.

During the awards ceremony, Ms. Angela Leong, Director and Chairman of the Staff Welfare Consultative Committee of SJM and Mr. Marco Ieong, Senior Vice President of Table and Slot Operations of SJM, presented certificates to participating football and basketball teams, and awarded trophies and medals to the winners respectively to show encouragement. The event culminated in a lively group photo, capturing the joyful spirit as the excitement from the competition spilled over into the evening.

Through this friendly event, SJM hopes to promote sports such as basketball and football in Macau, improve employee wellness, as well as facilitate communication and friendships within the industry. This initiative also helps foster teamwork among employees and contribute to the development of a harmonious society.
