The exhibition, held on the second floor of the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau (“Grand Lisboa Palace”), garnered significant interest from various industries in Macau and students pursuing related professions. SJM extended special invitations to members of the Association of Advertising Agents of Macau and the Macau Visual Arts Teacher Association to visit the exhibition, aiming to connect local industries with the international community and foster the growth of Macau’s design sector.
On 5 February, representatives from the Association of Advertising Agents of Macau visited the “Macau Design Award 2023 Winning Works Exhibition”. The exhibition displayed a number of exceptional works that creatively blended design with the unique shapes and forms of products, showcasing the designers’ innovative concepts. An industry practitioner complemented that the collaborative works launched by SJM and the winner of the “SJM New Talent Award” last year were both environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing. Furthermore, the series effectively communicated the brand image of SJM and served as remarkable source of inspiration for the design industry.
On 17 February, members from the Macau Visual Arts Teacher Association visited the exhibition and were drawn to 2D design works which featured vibrant colour combinations and reconstructed fonts to create distinctive visual effects. Some visual art teachers expressed that these exceptional works emphasized both their art values and practicality, and served as valuable study references for students.
Following the award ceremony held in January of this year, the "Macau Design Award 2023 Winning Works Exhibition" promptly commenced and was concluded on 18 February. It attracted numerous international tourists, local residents, and students. Featuring over a hundred carefully selected winning works and SJM commissioned products in collaboration with the award recipient of the “SJM New Talent Award” from the previous year, the exhibition aimed to showcase modern international design trends and the cultural creative industries in Macau.
