Grand Lisboa Palace joins hands with Fire Services Bureau once again to hold fire drill
30 January 2024 – Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau (“Grand Lisboa Palace”) has always prioritised the health and safety of its employees and customers, committed to creating a comfortable and safe environment for visitors. Once again, the Grand Lisboa Palace has collaborated with the Fire Services Bureau of Macau to conduct a fire drill, aiming to enhance employee’s response capabilities, safety awareness, and understanding of evacuation procedures during emergencies.
The fire drill simulated a fire at the back office at the lower ground first floor of Grand Lisboa Palace, which triggered the fire alarm system. Security personnel arrived at the scene and discovered the incidence, who immediately implemented safety protocols to evacuate employees to the designated meeting point, and reported to the authorities. They further simulated transporting casualties to the hospital for treatment. Over 110 staff participated in the drill, while the Fire Services Bureau sent 6 team members to supervise the evacuation procedure. The exercise effectively helped employees become familiar with evacuation routes during a fire, learned about fire prevention measures, and streamlined emergency procedures, communication, and coordination mechanisms.
