3 December 2023 -Sponsored by SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) and organised by Special Olympics, the 2023 IDPD Macau Special Olympics Tennis Open Day was successfully held on 3 December at Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau. The event attracted over 100 participants to celebrate the 2023 International Day of Persons with Disabilities (“IDPD”). The SJM volunteer team supported the event and assisted in the games and experiences. Ms. Angela Leong, Director of SJM and Chairman of the Staff Welfare Consultative Committee of SJM, attended the event and presented awards to members, promoting a culture of inclusivity for the society.

The event coincided with the United Nations-designated International Day of Persons with Disabilties. Through this event, SJM hopes to provide more opportunities for individuals with mental disabilities and student with special educational needs to participate in sports, thereby feeling the warmth and care from society. This initiative aims to drive societal and support for inclusive sports, working to eliminate discrimination.

Additionally, SJM has strongly supported and sponsored three sessions of Special Olympics Tennis training workshops in November, with over 60 participants joining the workshops.
