7 January 2024 – SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) organised a volunteer team to participate in a charity run jointly organised by the Macau Federation of Trade Unions and Associação Choi In Tong Sam. The event attracted over 500 participants. Distinguished guests in attendance including: Mr. Huang Huagai, Deputy Secretary General and Director-General of Social Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macau SAR; Mr. Zhao Heqing, Deputy Director-General of Social Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macau SAR; Mr. Pun Weng Kun, President of the Sports Bureau of the Macau SAR Government; Ms. Ho Sut Heng, President of the Macao Federation of Trade Unions and Ms. Angela Leong, Director of SJM and Chairman of its Staff Welfare Consultative Committee. All guests walked approximately 2.5 kilometers along the recreation area to support the charity event by means of solid action.

SJM actively encourages its team members to participate in sports and promotes social awareness for marginalised groups. The company regularly supports the activities of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions, extending support to both the Unions’ members and individuals in need. By participating in this new format of charity run, the aim is to promote “Together in Sports, Healthy in Body and Mind”, and to raise awareness in society about workplace safety issues. The charity proceeds raised in the run will be used to support the Unions’ emergency assistance initiatives.
