15 December 2023 - To promote the traditional winter solstice culture and foster an understanding of traditional festive customs among individuals with special needs, SJM organised a volunteer team to visit the Yi Jin Service Center, a social enterprise under the Special Olympics Macau, on 15 December, the day before the winter solstice. The team spent time with the group in a warm and lively atmosphere.

During the event, SJM volunteer team members explained the origin of winter solstice to the employees of the Yi Jin Service Center. They explained about the tradition of eating sweet dumplings and demonstrated how to prepare them. Together, they participated in making sweet dumplings in a joyful atmosphere. Subsequently, SJM volunteer team members shared time over lunch and exchanged insights about their daily lives and working conditions, while offering care and support.
