10 November 2023 - SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) Staff Welfare Consultative Committee (“SWCC”) organised The Volunteers: To The War movie screening for staff on 10 November at the Emperor Cinema of Lisboeta Macau. Mr. Yang Yi, Deputy Director of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, Mr. Leong Son Seng, Vice President of Macao Federation of Trade Unions, Ms. Lei Choi Fan, Director of Fai Chi Kei Family and Community Integrated Service Centre of Macao Federation of Trade Unions, Ms. Lou Si Man, Director of the Community Centre Tamagnini Barbosa of Macao Federation of Trade Unions, Ms. Angela Leong, Director of SJM and Chairman of SWCC, Dr. Rui Cunha, Secretary-General of SJM and Dr. Nuno Martins, Vice Secretary-General of SJM attended the screening. Over 150 team members joined them to watch the movie, which focuses on the war to resist United States aggression and aid Korea, with the aim of deepening their understanding of Chinese history.

Ms. Angela Leong remarked before the movie’s opening, “SJM organizes regular patriotic-themed movie screenings for its staff members during recent years. In addition to enriching the team members’ leisure activities, the Company also aims to promote the members’ genuine understanding of Chinese history while promoting patriotism. We encourage our members to maintain perseverance when facing adversity and difficulties, and stride ahead with the Company in creating a bright future.”
