
SJM clinches four awards at MORS Gold Pin Competition
6 December 2023 - Committed to supporting the policy of “cultivating talents for the development of Macau”, and cultivating skilled tourism professionals in Macau and the Greater Bay Area, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) has consistently prioritised substantial investments in staff training and development. This year, SJM continue to support the Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System (MORS) Gold Pin Competition, sending multiple team members, who clinched four top awards at the MORS Gold Pin Competition, bearing testament to SJM’s commitment to relentless pursuit of excellence in service and training for its employees. Meanwhile, SJM also serves as a supporting unit for competition, providing venue sponsorship and related technical support for the competition and the award ceremony.
The MORS Gold Pin Competition Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 6 December at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. This year, SJM’s team had 11 members reaching the finals, among whom are the exceptional team members who achieved the honour of Gold Pin award, including Mr. Sunny Lu, Security Officer for Tourism and Gaming Industry; Ms. Vicky Zhang, Waiter/Waitress (Western Restaurant Service); Ms. Abby Wu, and Ms. Daisy Liu, Waiter/Waitress (Chinese Restaurant Service).
Congratulating the team on its outstanding performance at the Finals, Ms. Daisy Ho, Managing Director of SJM commented, “We are a proud supporter of the MORS Gold Pin Competition. The impressive achievements we’ve attained this year are the result of the unwavering dedication of each team member. At SJM, we prioritise our people and are dedicated to employee training. We organise our staff to participate in a variety of vocational skill competitions, facilitating exchanges with industry experts. Ms. Abby Wu, winner of the Waiter/Waitress (Chinese Restaurant Service) category shared her feeling, “I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support and encouragement from the company. Through participating in the competition and gaining valuable experience, we will continue to elevate our services while upholding the spirit of teamwork, ensuring our guests leave with fond memories of Macau.”
