5 December 2023 - In conjunction with the “2023 CTA Tour SJM Professional Finals (Macau) and National Tennis Championships”, SJM Resorts, S.A. (SJM) has organised a special event titled “Dialogues with Outstanding Athletes”. This initiative is part of SJM’s continuous efforts to promote participation in sports among the younger generation, thereby contributing to the advancement of Macau’s sporting scene. International tennis star Ms. Li Na, and tournament players Mr. Bu Yunchaokete and Ms. Tian Fangran, were invited to share their experiences at this event held on 5 December 2023 at the Grand Lisboa Hotel.

Distinguished attendees at the event included Mr. Chao Kuok Wai, Department Director of Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government; Ms. Zhou Bing, the Tournament Director of the Chinese Tennis Tour and Mr. Daniel Shim, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of SJM.

At the session, Li Na, Bu Yunchaokete, and Tian Fangran recounted their journeys and challenges as professional athletes. They inspired the students present to embrace the athlete’s spirit - facing challenges head-on and continually striving for excellence. The event witnessed active participation from over a hundred students and teachers from local universities and high schools, who were keen to learn about the athletes’ behind-the-scenes struggles and successes under the vibrant and interactive atmosphere.

SJM remains dedicated to sponsoring high-caliber sports events in Macau and regularly organises activities like tennis to nurture future sports talent, with the goal of laying a solid foundation for the region’s sporting future.
