15 November 2023 - In the midst of the 70th Macau Grand Prix, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”), as a major sponsor, is captivating diverse social groups with a series of engaging activities, infusing the Macau community with the exhilarating spirit of racing. Following an upclose encounter with Formula 4 drivers last week, SJM has arranged for students from the Macao Polytechnic University and Macau Anglican College to meet with racers from the SJM Theodore PREMA Racing at the “Sportopia” gaming zone located on the first floor of the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau (“Grand Lisboa Palace”) again on 15 November.

Racers from the SJM Theodore PREMA Racing, Mr. Paul Aron, Mr. Dino Beganovic, Mr. Gabriele Minì and Mr. Charles Leong demonstrated racing training to the students through the virtual reality-based “Speed Racer” game, offering students a glimpse into the world of professional racing. The students eagerly participated in the racing simulation, expressing excitement at virtually navigating the challenging circuit. This interactive session not only allowed them to immerse in Macau’s distinctive Grand Prix culture but also facilitated meaningful exchanges with the racers and Teddy Yip Jr., Team Principal of SJM Theodore PREMA Racing. Yip and the racers warmly engaged with the students, posing for photos and giving out autographed posters.

Committed to fostering the growth of sports in Macau, SJM maintains strong connections with the Macau SAR Government and local communities, actively promoting a culture of sports. This initiative is part of SJM’s broader effort to cultivate a harmonious and healthy society. Beyond organising various activities, SJM has expanded its outreach by collaborating with various organisations to host a range of sports events, including martial arts, tennis, and golf, thereby supporting the development of local athletic talent.
