27 October 2023 - SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) is deeply committed to the welfare of Macau’s elderly community. In a consistent effort to manifest this commitment, SJM regularly hosts events that express and cultivate love, respect, and care for seniors. To commemorate Macau Senior Citizens’ Day, SJM invited over 50 seniors on 27 October 2023, comprising members from the Centro de Convívio do Fai Chi Kei of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau and SJM’s retired employees, to visit the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau (“Grand Lisboa Palace”) for a heartwarming afternoon tea experience.

Upon their arrival at Grand Lisboa Palace, the seniors were ushered by SJM team members through the “MOONLIGHT SPLENDOUR - SJM Lantern Festival.” This exhibition features an array of uniquely designed lanterns, collaboratively crafted by Asian and local artists, harmoniously fusing contemporary aesthetics with traditional art forms. Most of the intricate lantern installations were showcased in the Jardim Secreto, offering the seniors an opportunity to appreciate both the lanterns and the tranquillity of the European-style gardens. Following the tour, the seniors were treated to an exquisite afternoon tea. Adding to the festivities, SJM team members put up a singing performance and organised interactive games, engaging with guests under an atmosphere of warmth and happiness.
