20 October 2023 - SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) invited students and lecturers from the School of Continuing Education – Macau Institute for Tourism Studies to attend a face-to-face masterclass with two international master sommeliers: Pierre-Marie Pattieu and Arnaud Bardary on 20 October 2023 at the Grand Lisboa Macau. The aim of this special wine masterclass, jointly organised by the Asia Wine Institute and SJM during the “2023 SJM Asia Top Sommelier Summit”, is to inspire the future generation of Macau’s hospitality industry in the fields of gastronomy, wine, food culture and education, while also bolstering Macau’s role as a diversified tourism destination.

SJM invited internationally renowned sommeliers, Pierre-Marie Pattieu and Arnaud Bardary, to serve as keynote instructors for the masterclass, where they shared the mission and vision of sommeliers, wine regions, wine tasting, and wine-serving skills with nearly 30 students and lecturers from the School of Continuing Education – Macau Institute for Tourism Studies. During the masterclass, students took the opportunity to interact with the two international master sommeliers and gained deeper insight into the profession of a sommelier.
