
SJM celebrates the successful conclusion of the World University Games and outstanding results by the national team and China Macao team
8 August, 2023 - The 31st World University Summer Games (“World University Games”) has drawn to a successful close in Chengdu. With the national team securing the top position on the medal leaderboard, China Macao team also achieved spectacular results, clinching an impressive tally of 1 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals. SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) extends its heartfelt congratulations to both the national team and China Macao team and wishes the student athletes continued success as they achieve even greater heights for the nation and Macau.
The five members of the Macau Wushu team collectively brought home an impressive collection of seven medals. Among them, Wong Sum Yin clinched 1 gold and 1 bronze, Wang Wing Yan won 2 silver, Cheung Yui Chit acquired a silver, while Lee Cheuk Yeung and Cai Feilong each earned a bronze. These exceptional achievements stand as a testament to the vibrant development of Wushu in Macau. Incidentally, SJM is gearing up to host the “11th Asian Junior Wushu Championships” on 17 August 2023 in Macau. Close to 300 young athletes from the Asian regions will converge in Macau, engaging in a series of exhilarating contests at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion.

The “11th Asian Junior Wushu Championships” are scheduled to take place from 17 to 20 August 2023 at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion in Macao.
