Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (“SJM”) has been the sponsor of the Macau Jockey Club (“MJC”) Charity Day for the sixteenth consecutive year, with this year’s SJM Charity Trophy held on 19 May 2018. Trophies were presented by Director of SJM Dr. Rui Cunha and Assistant Chief Operating Officer Dr. Paul Hung to the owner, trainer and jockey of the winning horse. Mr. Arnaldo Ho, Assistant Chief Operating Officer of SJM, presented a charity cheque of HKD150,000 to MJC on behalf of SJM, received by Director of MJC Mr. Lee Wai Man. Charity funds raised on the MJC Charity Day will be donated to the social welfare organizations under the Catholic Diocese of Macau and under the Social Welfare Bureau and Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau of the Macau SAR Government, as well as to Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society, Macau Special Olympics, Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired, Yat On Responsible Gambling Counselling Centre, Macau Social Services Centre, and various charity causes.
