
SJM delivers outstanding performance at Vocational Skills Competition
30 June 2023 - The “5th edition of the Macao Integrated Tourism and Leisure Enterprises Vocational Skills Competition 2023”, organised by the Labour Affairs Bureau of Macau SAR Government and the Macao Federation of Trade Unions, took place on 29 and 30 June 2023, serving as a dynamic platform for industry-wide exchange and development. SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) assembled a team of 28 members to compete in this exciting annual event, where they went head-to-head with industry’s best to exchange knowledge and expertise. The SJM team showcased their exceptional skills, comprehensive abilities, professionalism and team spirit, taking home an impressive haul of 11 awards in three categories. These outstanding results bear testament to SJM’s longstanding efforts and success in nurturing the next generation talent for the integrated resort sector.
The SJM team leveraged its superb vocational knowledge and delivered exceptional performance on the day, clinching top results in Gaming and Entertainment Professional Skills Competition. This includes First and Second in Counting - Individual, in which team member Cao Junsheng won the championship and broke the previous records again, First in Counting - Group, Second in Chipping – Group, Third in Chipping – Individual and Special Gold Award in Customer Service. For Hotel Services Professional Skills Competition, the team garnered Special Gold Award in Facility Maintenance and Gold Award in Room Cleanup & Design. In the field of Gastronomy Professional Skills Competition, the team received Gold Award in Chinese Delicacies and Silver Award in Western Culinary Services. Additionally, SJM won the award for Best Choice of Main Dish with a creative dish Spanish Pork with Osmanthus Sauce.
