7 May 2023 - SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) organised a football team to compete in the charity football match hosted by Macau Special Olympics (“MSO”) held on 7 May 2023 at the Macao Federation of Trade Unions Workers Stadium. SJM was the champion in the open category. The activity aims to raise funds to nurture people with disabilities who are interested in playing football, in an effort to build their confidence and physical fitness, while fostering an inclusive society.

This year’s activity consisted of open and charity sections, and attracted over 100 athletes from numerous corporate teams. Despite the bad weather, the participating teams made an all-out effort and fought with passion. SJM became the champion in the open section after multiple rounds of fierce competition. The match concluded with an award presentation ceremony held under a lively atmosphere.

Ms. Angela Leong, Director of SJM and Chairman of the SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee, said, “SJM is dedicated to promoting charity activities in Macau and encouraging employees to contribute to volunteer services, with the goal of supporting the vulnerable groups, raising the public’s awareness about the importance of building an inclusive society.
