
SJM receives Responsible Gaming awards
SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) fully supports the Macau SAR Government in promoting responsible gaming amongst its staff members and to the public, jointly contributing to the healthy and orderly development of the gaming industry in Macau.
At the closing ceremony of the Responsible Gambling Promotions 2022 “Lost Control, Lose Family” held in the Conference Hall of the Macao Science Center on 15 December 2022, six casinos of SJM, namely Casino Grand Lisboa Palace, Casino Grand Lisboa, Casino Lisboa, Casino Oceanus at Jai Alai, Casino Ponte 16 and Casino L'Arc Macau, were awarded the “Responsible Gaming Implementation Model Unit”.
The closing ceremony also witnessed the award of certificates to thirty-three SJM employees, who had successfully completed the “Certificate Program for Macau Responsible Gaming Trainer”.
In addition, SJM took the opportunity to present the series of events themed around “Lost Control, Lose Family”, covering competitions and games, training courses and other activities, which were held the year.
The closing ceremony was co-organised by the Social Welfare Bureau (“SWB”) of the Macau SAR Government, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau of the Macau SAR Government (“DICJ”) and the Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming (“ISCG”) at the University of Macau. Deputy Director of SWB Ms. Hoi Va Pou, Deputy Director of Macao Government Tourism Office Mr. Ricky Hoi, Director of Economic Affairs Department of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macau SAR Mr. Sun Yaohua, Chief of the Department of Communication and Training of DICJ Mr. Tou Chi Iau, and Director of ISCG Mr. Davis Fong officiated at the ceremony.
