As the city heats up with major international sports events, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) paves the way to yet another spotlight event, the second 2022 CTA Tour SJM Professional Finals (Macau) and National Tennis Championships in Macau. Leading up to the tournament, SJM co-organized a tennis academy with the Office of Sports Affairs of the University of Macau, which was successfully held on 19 November 2022 at the University’s campus tennis courts.

The academy was designed to promote participation in recreational tennis among teenagers, enhance their knowledge and skills, and encourage an active lifestyle. Student coaches from the University of Macau guided 19 local participants to pick up the rackets. In three groups, they attentively observed demonstrations by coaches and learned the basic strokes and game rules. After which, participants practiced and played in doubles. The day concluded with a mini competition with winners receiving tennis-themed souvenirs from SJM.

The 2022 CTA Tour SJM Professional Finals (Macau) and National Tennis Championships will be held in Macau between 5 – 11 December 2022. In association with the event, SJM will be organizing a series of community events to propel the city’s all-rounded sports development as well as fostering talents for the sports industry.
