The SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Council and the Associação de Juventude Voluntária de Macau co-organised and jointly participated in the “Care for Seniors Half Day Tour” yesterday at the Macau Science Centre on 16 September 2022.

During the event, sixteen seniors visited the Macau Science Centre and were guided by members of the SJM Volunteer Team and Associação de Juventude Voluntária de Macau.  Participants toured different zones of the exhibits and enthusiastically learnt about the latest in science, environmental protection and sustainable designs. They also took a stroll along the scenic promenade and enjoyed a delightful and refreshing afternoon.

Chairman of the SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee, Ms. Angela Leong expressed that not only did the SJM Volunteer Team visit seniors at their homes during the Mid-Autumn Festive season, they also shared the beauty of nature by bringing the seniors outdoors, promoting positive energy and improving their physical and mental health. SJM consistently encourages its employees to care for the community and support the underprivileged, creating a corporate culture of giving back and contributing to a harmonious society.
