SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) will contribute to “2022 World Environment Day” by participating in the energy-saving activities led by the Macao Environmental Protection Bureau (“DSPA”). From now through October 2022, these events will include “Lights Off for One Hour”, “Casual Summer Wear – Let’s Conserve Energy” and the “Energy Saving Activity –5% Energy Saving Action” Lucky Draw. These activities will raise environmental awareness in the Macanese community to conserve energy and reduce emissions.

On 5 June 2022 at 8:30 p.m., all SJM properties participated in the first “World Environment Day” activity – “Lights Off for One Hour” – by switching off non-essential lights and outdoor LED screens. Hotel guests and SJM employees were also invited to take part in the lights off event at home or during their stay. This activity is to raise awareness about the threat of global warming and reducing energy consumption.

In line with DSPA’s efforts to promote a culture of dressing down and promote energy conservation, SJM is participating in the “Casual Summer Wear – Let’s Conserve Energy” event from 6 June to 31 August 2022. SJM will encourage all frontline and office team members to wear less formal attire throughout the hot summer months. SJM will also ensure office air conditioners are not set under 25°C. SJM employees are encouraged to enter the “Energy Saving Activity –5% Energy Saving Action” Lucky Draw organised by DSPA. This to encourage Macau residents to save 5% or more on energy consumption. This year, participants may receive the “Energy Saving Family Award”, “Continuous Energy Saving Prize” or the “Friends and Family Referral Prize”.
