Dedicated to promoting patriotic education, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) organised a screening session of the movie The Battle at Lake Changjin II for its staff members on 12 March 2022. SJM’s senior management and over 100 staff members watched the movie together with the invited guests Mr. Yin Rutao, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR, and Ms. Chio Lan Ieng, Vice-president of the Board of Macao Federation of Trade Unions. The activity was coordinated by the SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee (“SWCC”).

Ms. Angela Leong, Managing Director of SJM and Chairman of SWCC, remarked at the opening of the screening session that the patriotic themed movie helped enhance staff’s knowledge of the history of modern China and conveyed the message that the present peaceful era is a result of the martyrs’ bravery, perseverance and sacrifice. She encouraged employees to learn from the spirit of the Chinese nation, and to stand firmly with the company and Macau amidst the adverse economic environment under the pandemic.
