Committed to promoting Chinese culture, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) sponsored the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Chinese Opera Cultural Festival” for second consecutive year. By supporting this spectacular Chinese Opera Festival, SJM envisages to enhance cultural exchanges between the cities in the Greater Bay Area, and to further strengthen Macau’s positioning as a base for exchange and cooperation where Chinese culture is the mainstream and diverse cultures coexist.

Under the guidance of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the event was jointly organised by China Theatre Association and the Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, and supported by the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macau SAR Government, Macau Government Tourism Office, and the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macau SAR Government. The opening ceremony was held on 7 January 2022, followed by five sessions of performances held online from 8 to 17 January under the pandemic, attracting much attention in the Greater Bay Area.
