SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) Security Department invited Fire Services Bureau to provide fire safety training to over 80 staff members. The training aimed to raise front-line staff members’ awareness on fire safety and application of fire extinguishers, not only in the work place, but also in daily lives, in order to safeguard the safety of people and properties.

The training was held at the simulation site at the airport on Cotai on 17 November 2021. Representatives from the Fire Services Bureau gave detailed explanations to staff members, ranging from the use and the types of fire extinguishers to proper ways to react when confronting fires. Over 80 staff members from different departments of Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau joined the workshop. The members listened carefully to the instructions and experienced putting out real fire under the guidance of fire fighters.

The staff members expressed gratitude to Fire Safety Bureau and SJM on providing them a valuable training opportunity which combined theory and practice. They will apply the knowledge acquired in their work and daily lives, and promote the importance of fire safety to their colleagues and family members.

The Fire Services Bureau appreciated SJM’s staff members for their participation and active learning. The Bureau will continue to maintain close ties with SJM on future collaborations on fire prevention.
