SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) donated MOP600,000 to support the 2021 Walk for a Million. Under the pandemic, the 38^th Walk for a Million was held online on 12 December 2021.

Earlier on 26 November 2021, a cheque presentation ceremony was held at Grand Lisboa Hotel, attended by Managing Director Ms. Angela Leong and Secretary-General Dr. Rui Cunha from SJM, as well as President Ms. Ho Teng Iat and five other representatives from the Charity Fund from the Readers of Macao Daily News.

Ms. Daisy Ho, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SJM, said, “This year we commemorate the 100^th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Stanley Ho. We are pleased to follow his footsteps in contributing to society by participating in the charity walk and also encouraging our staff members to do the same, extending our helping hands to the needy and spreading love in society.”

Ms. Angela Leong, Managing Director of SJM and Chairman of the SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee said, “This year we have achieved a record number of 9,500 participants from SJM, comprising staff members and their family members and friends. It is a delight to see members working at our various properties join forces together to contribute to Macau’s charity and to extend warmth to society.”

SJM is dedicated to supporting Macau’s charity works and also encourages its staff members to do likewise. The company received overwhelming response from its staff members in joining this year’s “Walk for a Million” event.
