In celebration of the 100^th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) sponsored the China Film Festival for the seventh year. SJM aims to promote patriotism in Macau through introducing movies with patriotic themes. Over 100 movie tickets were distributed to its staff members, aiming to deepen their knowledge of China’s development and accomplishments through appreciation of outstanding movies.

Organised by National Radio and Television Administration and the Department of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR, co-organised by China Film Foundation and Macao Media Advancement Association, the 18^th China Film Festival held its opening ceremony at Macau University of Science and Technology on 26 November 2021. A number of great Chinese movies were shown at Cinema Alegria from 27 November to 5 December, including The Pioneer, Chinese Doctors, Sister, Red Boat, Ao Men Shi Yue, 1921, as well as One Day When We Were Young.
