SJM title-sponsors Formula 4 Macau Grand Prix with a series of “Racing + Gastronomy” activities
SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) is proud to be the title sponsor of the “SJM Formula 4 Macau Grand Prix”, the finale race of the 68th Macau Grand Prix to be held from 19 to 21 November 2021. In support of Macau Grand Prix and in an effort to promote Macau Food Festival, SJM’s Grand Lisboa Palace Resort and Grand Lisboa Hotel will host a series of exciting activities and promotions from 19 November to 5 December, aiming to showcase Macau as a safe destination for travel and to highlight the city’s diversified tourism offerings.
Ms. Daisy Ho, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SJM, said, “SJM has been an ardent supporter of the Macau Grand Prix with a history of more than half a century. This year we are honoured to be the title sponsor of the SJM Formula 4 Macau Grand Prix, fueling this spectacular motorsports event with excitement. At the same time, SJM, as a pioneer in promoting Macau gastronomy, is also pleased to show our continued support for the Macau Food Festival, a collaboration which we have enjoyed for over 10 years. By partnering with these two major events of the city, we aim to further strengthen Macau’s position as a ‘world centre of tourism and leisure’, while supporting the Macau Government’s ‘tourism+’ plan to stimulate market vitality.”
The newly opened Grand Lisboa Palace on Cotai is pleased to be supporting the Macau Grand Prix with the creation of three exhilarating new drinks at the resort’s contemporary Portuguese restaurant – Mesa. Designed especially for the races, the three racing themed drinks – “Victory’s Light”, “Watch My Dirt” and “Hot Wheels” will be served from 18 – 21 November. The “Victory’s Light” cocktail is a mix of Campari, champagne, and Yellow Chartreuse and adorned with a woven rosemary crown. “Watch My Dirt” blends Macau Beer and bourbon Whisky, with lemon, pineapple juice and pear puree to enrich the flavour, and a pinch of black pepper as a reminder of the racing circuit. “Hot Wheels” is a mocktail full of energy, made with Red Bull, egg white, lemon, apple and lime juice.
Right at the doorstep to the pulsating Grand Prix races, Grand Lisboa offers a place for visitors to “refuel”. Guests are welcome into the lobby, where they can enjoy an array of refreshments and souvenirs between 10:00am and 8:00pm from 19 to 21 November. For visitors looking to “recharge”, The Spa at Grand Lisboa is giving away complimentary bottles of Spa Aroma Oil for those who indulge in a soothing 60-minute Swedish Massage.
During the Macau Food Festival, from 22 November to 5 December, visitors can enjoy 30% off on the “A Taste of Style” package for dining at selected restaurants in Grand Lisboa Palace, Grand Lisboa and Jai Alai Oceanus. Valued at MOP 3,000, this special offer on the “A Taste of Style” package is valid for a limited time only throughout the Food Festival. For even more of an adrenaline rush during the Macau Grand Prix and the Macau Food Festival, SJM is giving all residents and visitors to Macau the chance to win amazing Lucky Draw prizes.
