90% of SJM staff members vaccinated
SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) responded actively to the anti-pandemic measures set out by the Macau SAR Government and encouraged its staff members to get vaccinated. SJM announced on 10 November 2021 that 90% of SJM staff members have been vaccinated since the launch of the “2021 SJM Vaccination Encouragement Programme” in June 2021.
In support of the Government’s call for vaccination, in particular the vaccination rate of Macau citizens aged between 12 and 19 remains low, SJM collaborates with the Health Bureau in setting up a three-day vaccination outreach centre at Grand Lisboa Hotel running from 25 to 27 November for the public and workers stationing in Macau. With the prime location of Grand Lisboa Hotel at Macau’s transportation hub, SJM aims to attract more people to get vaccinated to achieve herd immunity, and all participants will receive a special souvenir from SJM on a “first come, first served” basis.
Ms. Daisy Ho, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SJM, said, “With its roots in Macau, SJM puts priority to public health and safety. Under the New Normal, SJM strictly adhere to the preventive measures stipulated by the Government, and at the same time join forces with the Government in achieving herd immunity in Macau. The first half of the year saw the launch of our SJM Vaccination Encouragement Programme, which received overwhelming response from our staff members and their families. We are pleased to report our staff members’ vaccination rate has reached 90%. With the set-up of the three-day vaccination outreach centre at Grand Lisboa Hotel, we aim to increase the vaccination rate amongst the public, and as always, we stand together with the local community to make Macau a safe and healthy travel destination.”
