SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”), joined by Macau Social Services Centre, organised several charity visits in July and August 2021, bringing warmth and support to the underprivileged in Macau.

Accompanied by the social workers from Macau Social Services Centre, SJM Volunteer Team members paid visits to 500 less advantaged households, including the hearing impaired, mentally challenged, single-parent families, as well as solitary and vulnerable elderly. The members spent quality time with the families during the visits, hearing their grievances and bringing them cookies, fruit and festive blessings.

Ms. Angela Leong, Managing Director of SJM and Chairman of the SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee expressed gratitude to staff members who have scarified their leisure time for community services. The visits have not only proved meaningful to the beneficiaries, but also brought positive values to the team members. This echoes with Dr. Stanley Ho’s philosophy of “from society to society”, which encourages staff members to engage in community services and help the needy.
