Title-sponsored by SJM Resorts, S.A., the SJM Macau Derby was held at the Macau Jockey Club on 25 July 2021 afternoon. Simon Fubuki was crowned champion at this year’s Derby, after a thrilling day of racing. Ms. Angela Leong, Managing Director of SJM Resorts, S.A., Dr. Rui Cunha, Secretary-General of SJM Resorts, S.A. and other SJM Resorts senior management members joined the owner, trainer and jockey of the winning horse at the prize presentation ceremony after the race.

Competing at their highest level, only 4-year-old horses participate in the SJM Macau Derby. This year’s 1,800-metre Derby (Group 4 Race) attracted thirteen horses to compete for the total prize money of HKD2.3 million. To add even more excitement to the races, an “SJM Macau Derby Lucky Draw” was also held at the event.
