SJM Resorts, S.A. vaccine encouragement programme drives more than 3,600 employees and family members to get vaccinated
SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) launched a “2021 SJM Vaccination Encouragement Programme” to encourage team members and their families to get vaccinated, in support of the Macau Government’s goal of achieving herd immunity. The response received from staff members was overwhelming, and the vaccination session for SJM was extended two more days to four consecutive days from 21 to 24 June 2021. The Programme, since launched, recorded more than 3,600 SJM team members and their families who have received vaccines. SJM also partnered with Health Bureau in organising an informative “Novel Coronavirus Vaccination Seminar” this month to provide employees with an in-depth understanding of vaccinations.
Director of Health Bureau Dr. Alvis Lo together with Managing Director of SJM Ms. Angela Leong and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Mr. Daniel Shim visited the SJM vaccination centre at Grand Lisboa Hotel to express their gratitude and support to the employees and their families as well as frontline medical staff.
Ms. Daisy Ho, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SJM, said, “It is encouraging to note that our vaccination encouragement programme and educational seminar in partnership with the Health Bureau have received overwhelming response from our team members. Vaccination is a top priority in the fight against the pandemic. SJM fully supports the Macau Government in boosting the vaccination rates in order to build an immune barrier in the community for the health and safety of residents and visitors.”
Ms. Angela Leong, Managing Director of SJM, said, “I am very pleased to see so many staff members bringing their family members to join our vaccination sessions. I am very grateful to the frontline medical staff for their hard work and our team members for their enthusiastic support. Together, we join forces in protecting the health and safety of the community.”
To boost employees’ confidence about the safety of vaccines, SJM partnered with Health Bureau in organising a “Novel Coronavirus Vaccination Seminar” on 11 June. Conducted by Dr. Tai Wai Hou, representative of Health Bureau and Clinical Director of the Public Conde S. Januário Hospital Center, the seminar helped build confidence amongst staff by providing them with the necessary information about vaccinations.
All SJM’s hotels and casinos strictly adhere to the Macau Government’s preventive and control measures against the pandemic, providing the highest level of protection for its guests and employees, while also ensuring Macau remaining a healthy and safe destination for all.
