Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S. A. (“SJM”) organised a visit to the “Young People’s Patriotic Education Base” for its staff members and their children on 25 April 2021. Under the coordination of the SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee, a group of 50 persons visited the Education Base set up by the Macau SAR Government. SJM aimed to nurture patriotism amongst staff members, and aroused their children’s interests on traditional Chinese culture, passing on the spirit of loving the Motherland and Macau to the younger generations.

Located at the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao, the Education Base showcased a wide range of interactive exhibits, enabling the visitors to learn more about Chinese history and culture, and also about the development of new China and Macau. The exhibits depicted the Country’s people-oriented belief, and its continuous pursuit of the well-being of people. The visit to the exhibition deepened the staff members’ sense of pride towards their national identity, pushing them to combine efforts to build a better future.

Ms. Angela Leong, Managing Director of SJM and Chairman of the SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee, said, “SJM has long been supporting parent-child education on patriotism, offering opportunities for our staff members and their children to understand more about our Nation through various channels. This helps nurture the patriotic spirit of our younger generation, contributing to the prosperity, stability and security of our Motherland and Macau.”
